Des Moines is a twenty-minute drive northwest of our Auburn shop, and its waterfront neighborhoods send us cars that deal with salt air, western sun and I-5 grime every day. If you are tired of washing your car every weekend in Des Moines, ceramic coating is the fix. AutoCity preps and corrects the paint, then applies 3M ceramic that makes water bead and roll off, keeps bug guts and bird droppings from etching, and turns a wash into a rinse.

Des Moines drivers commute on I-5 and Pacific Highway South, and the Marina district, Redondo and Woodmont face the Sound with strong afternoon sun and salt spray. Highway 509 construction has added years of gravel and debris to the daily drive. Ceramic coating is protection you can see. It deepens gloss and makes metallic flake pop, and Des Moines owners of black, red and dark blue cars notice the difference immediately. It also blocks UV so the paint does not fade or oxidize in summer sun.

Des Moines is a mix of retirees with well-kept sedans and SUVs along the water, families in Woodmont and North Hill, and commuters heading north to Seattle and the airport. We coat everything Des Moines drives, from new Teslas and BMWs to trucks and family SUVs. New cars need the least correction, so the best time to coat is right after delivery, before the paint has picked up a year of wash swirls.
Coating a new car? Bring it to AutoCity straight from the dealership. Fresh paint takes the coating best, and Des Moines owners who coat early avoid the swirls and etching that build up in the first year.
Our ceramic coating customers from Des Moines come from Marina District, Redondo, Woodmont, Zenith and the rest of the Des Moines waterfront. Des Moines is an easy drive to Auburn via Highway 516 or I-5 and Highway 18, and most customers pair the visit with errands at the Supermall or Kent Station.
