Why Covington Drivers Need Tesla Window Tint

Covington drivers ride Highway 18 and Kent-Kangley Road every day, and the Highway 18 climb is notorious for rock chips from gravel trucks and construction traffic. The plateau is open and sunny, so cabins heat up fast in summer and interiors fade without tint. Tesla owners in Covington usually pick a lighter, legal shade on the front doors, 20% to 35% on the rear and a ceramic roof and windshield strip. Non-metallic ceramic film has zero effect on Autopilot cameras, ultrasonic sensors or charging.

Frequently Asked Questions About AutoCity Window Tint

Hello car care enthusiasts! Have a question about our pricing/material/design? Find our answers here.

What are the benefits of getting window tint at AutoCity in Auburn, WA?

Window tinting at AutoCity keeps your car cooler, blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays, and reduces glare for safer driving. It also adds privacy and gives your ride a sleek, professional look. Our expert installers ensure a flawless finish with long-lasting results. Whether you’re tired of scorching seats or want to protect your interior from fading, our carbon and ceramic tints are designed to perform beautifully in all Auburn weather conditions.

What is the difference between carbon and ceramic window tint?

Carbon tint offers great heat rejection and UV protection with a crisp matte look, while ceramic tint takes performance to the next level by blocking more infrared heat and lasting a lifetime. Carbon tint comes with a 5-year warranty, while ceramic includes a lifetime warranty. Both enhance comfort, protect interiors, and keep your vehicle cooler. If you want the ultimate in comfort and clarity, ceramic is the go-to choice at AutoCity in Auburn.

Why should I install paint protection film (PPF) on my car?

Paint Protection Film, or PPF, acts like invisible armor for your car’s paint. It shields against rock chips, scratches, bugs, and road debris while maintaining a glossy finish. PPF keeps your vehicle looking new and helps preserve resale value. At AutoCity, our 10-year warranty film is self-healing, hydrophobic, and precisely installed to fit your exact make and model. It’s the smart way to keep your vehicle protected year-round in Auburn’s changing weather.

How long does paint protection film last?

High-quality PPF from AutoCity lasts up to 10 years with proper care. Our films resist yellowing, cracking, and peeling thanks to advanced self-healing top layers. Regular washing with mild soap and avoiding abrasive tools will help extend its lifespan. Even after years of driving through Auburn’s roads, your paint will stay protected and glossy. Plus, our 10-year warranty gives you peace of mind that your investment is well protected.

What are the benefits of a ceramic coating for my vehicle?

Ceramic coating adds a long-lasting, hydrophobic layer that makes your car easier to clean and keeps it looking freshly detailed. It repels water, dirt, and road grime while adding UV protection and a deep gloss. At AutoCity in Auburn, we use 3M ceramic coatings that bond to your paint for durable shine and protection. It’s the perfect way to reduce maintenance and enhance the beauty of your car all year long.

Can I get both paint protection film and ceramic coating together?

Yes! Combining PPF and ceramic coating gives your car the ultimate defense system. PPF protects high-impact areas from chips and scratches, while ceramic coating enhances shine and repels dirt on the rest of your car. At AutoCity, we recommend pairing both for maximum coverage, especially if you want lasting protection and easy maintenance. Together, they preserve your paint and keep your vehicle looking showroom-fresh for years.

How long do vehicle wraps last and can they be removed?

A professionally installed vehicle wrap from AutoCity can last up to 5-7 years with proper care. Wraps can be safely removed without damaging your original paint when you’re ready for a new look. They’re perfect for changing color, promoting your business, or protecting your paint. We use premium vinyl with fade resistance and removable adhesive, so your car can evolve with your style while staying in top condition.

Do I need to do any special maintenance after tinting or coating my car?

After getting your tint, PPF, or ceramic coating, we recommend avoiding car washes for about a week to let everything cure properly. After that, just wash with mild, pH-balanced soap and soft mitts. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes. We’ll provide you with detailed care tips at AutoCity so your finish stays perfect. Following simple maintenance steps keeps your car looking great and ensures your warranty stays valid.

How long does it take to install window tint or paint protection film?

Window tint installation usually takes 2–4 hours depending on the vehicle, while PPF can take 1–2 days for full coverage. At AutoCity, we take our time to ensure perfect alignment and finish. Every car is carefully cleaned, prepped, and inspected before and after installation. You’ll drive away with a flawless, long-lasting result—and we’ll always let you know the estimated timeframe before we start.

Why should I choose AutoCity in Auburn, WA for my vehicle protection needs?
